Constellation Schools Foundation Scholarship Program

Information about Constellation Schools Foundation Scholarships and its online application is available below and from the office of the guidance counselor. All students meeting the eligibility criteria will automatically be considered for the Overall Academic Achievement Scholarship awarded by Constellation Schools Foundation.

There will only be one scholarship or grant awarded per student.

Eligibility
Applicants must be a graduating senior with a cumulative GPA (grade point average) of 3.50 that includes the first semester of their senior year. Except as otherwise approved by the Constellation Schools Foundation committee, to receive a scholarship or grant, students must be attending a two-year or four-year accredited college on a full-time basis taking a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.

Application Procedure
Online applications will be available beginning Friday, March 15th. Once completed, the application should be printed, signed and dated by the applicant and one parent. Attached to the application should be the essay (described on the application), as well as two letters of reference.

  • One letter of reference must be written by a teacher. For categorical scholarships pertaining to Achievement in the Arts, Math or Science, the letter must be from a teacher in that particular department.

  • Other suggestions for reference letters include a community leader, scoutmaster, coach, or member of the clergy. (Letters written by peers or classmates will not qualify.)

Completed applications must be submitted to the guidance department by Wednesday, April 24th.

Interview Process
Applicants selected by the scholarship committee will be scheduled for an interview on either the evening of Tuesday, May 7th or Wednesday, May 8th. All interviews will be held at the Constellation Schools Administrative Building, 5730 Broadview Road, Parma, Ohio. Interviews will be arranged through the guidance department. Professional dress is required.

Recipient Selection
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, the written essay, the letters of reference and the interview. All applicants will receive letters (sent to their homes) from Constellation Schools Foundation informing them whether or not they have been selected for a scholarship or grant. All scholarships will be awarded at the Student Recognition Assembly on Friday, May 24th.

Payment of Awards
Award checks will be made payable to both the student and the college. Awards will be paid in two equal installments and will apply and only be available for the 2019/2020 school year.
